Come learn the status the RDU Airport's current plans to destroy the natural trails at Lake Crabtree Park to office buildings, and allow a new quarry on the Odd Fellows Tract adjacent to Crabtree Creek and Umstead State Park. YES, they still want to proceed!
We have a better solution: RDU Forest. We believe a 50 mile trail center would achieve long lasting environmental and community benefits, as well as be the best path forward in supporting the RDU Airport. Learn the issues and what you can do to help us, the Wake County Commissioners, and others to protect the Crabtree Creek watershed, Umstead State Park, and provide a long-lasting community asset and Tourist destination to the RDU airport.
Doors will open at 6:30 PM and the program will begin at 7:00 PM. Light refreshments will be served. The meeting is free and open to the public to attend. Thurs, July 19, 7-9 PM (doors open 6:30pm) Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Raleigh, 3313 Wade Avenue, Raleigh
